This is me
I'm Harm Manders, a multi disciplinary Software Engineer, with roots in
Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Web Development.
I'm a 31 year old full-stack webdeveloper & software engineer, with a Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence and a Master's degree in Data Science, with 9 years of relevant work experience (both behind a laptop and behind a bar).
For my Master Thesis I've developed a Deep Learning image segmentation model in python using contrastive learning, which improved the performance of the segmentation of cells in microscopy images.
As co-founder/full-stack developer/dev-ops engineer at Harmless Key, I have built a modern web app, on a Vue.js + Firebase stack. Additionally I've built a Node.js + MongoDB REST API, to supply the static content for our web app.
As full-stack developer at the City of Amsterdam, I'm responsible for the development of a suite of applications used by the city's market department, to help them manage the markets of Amsterdam. In my team, we've developed an algorithm that optimizes the market layout based on the preferences of the merchants. Additionally, as DevOps engineer, I'm responsible for migrating our entire application suite from self-managed hosting to the Azure cloud.
